Gaps, Underfunded Areas, and Opportunities in Fulfilling the Great Commission

The Lausanne Movement is holding its Fourth Congress in Incheon, South Korea, in late September. As part of its preparation for this event, Lausanne prepared a report that analyzes the current status of the Great Commission, identifies the top issues and challenges facing its fulfillment, and explores regional considerations. More than 150 experts authored the report, with 40% from the global south, 35% from the global north, and 25% from the global east.

The State of the Great Commission Report is massive (over 500 pages!), and packed with insights. We were joined Matthew Niermann, Director of the report, who helped us drill down in it by focusing on a few strategic areas and issues that need more attention from funders and from the Church.
